Location:
Suez Port is located at the southern boundary of Suez Canal. It is bordered by the imaginary line extending from Ras-El-Adabiya to Moussa sources including the North Coast until the entrance of Suez Canal.

Navigation
Vessels usually berth at the dwelling area. Dredging of the fairway at new sakhra port and the coastal cape has rendered water depth consistent, estimated at 11.28 m. During tide, vessels up to 12.19 m. draft can approach the harbour.
Pilotage:
Pilotage is compulsory, and it is monitored though radio (VHF - H/F) and electronic equipment
(Radar Beacon).
Pilotage Equipment 2 tugs with maximum capacity (900 hp) and maximum towage force 15 tons + 22 tons. 4 pilotage crafts with a capacity of 250 to 335 hp

Tugging:

Tugging Charges 275 US$ / hour for foreign vessels, and 160 L.E. / hour for Egyptian vessels, at least 2

Repairs
Dry Dock Suez Shipyard Co. undertakes all repairs for all vessel types.
The dry dock dimensions are 44 x 22 m.; and 22 ft. draft
Capable to accommodate vessels up to 50000 tons.
Floating Dock The same company owns a floating dock capable to accommodate vessels up to 300.000 tons, in
addition to equipped workshops for all repairs

Fumigation Fumigation is provided by quarantine to all vessels arriving and departing.
